OUR STORY
Originally from London, Paul and I fell in love with La Cala de Mijas back in 2002 and 5 years later, we decided to make it our home. Now, along with our two boys, there’s no place we’d rather be.
The Orange House story began in 2017 when we discovered our hidden gem nestled away in the heart of La Cala de Mijas. Perched at the end of a narrow quintessentially Spanish lane, this former family home was built back in the 1980s when La Cala was a traditional fishing village. Originally just two separate one storey buildings, over time as their family grew so too did their home, thus giving us the start of our very own family journey.
A world away from how we knew it could be, this large orange building with its fantastic location and amazing potential grabbed us from the start. Its humble charm and prime position inspired us to create something special. Our plans to completely renovate the original building and add a further two storeys has evolved over time and we’re now so excited to share with you all, our vision and our dream. Our plans to completely renovate the existing building and add a further two stories have evolved over time and we’re excited to share with you all our vision and dreams.
OUR DREAMS AND VISION
Now, we’re finally at the stage where we can introduce you to The Orange House Boutique Hotel and invite you to join us on the next part of our exciting journey as we open our doors and welcome you all.
Just 20 minutes south of Malaga airport, La Cala de Mijas is a beautifully quintessential village on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Originally a small fishing hamlet back in the 1970s, La Cala is now a vibrant village where tradition mixes perfectly with contemporary. Offering a wide range of restaurants, bars and chiringuitos, there really is something for everyone. Whether you spend your days relaxing on the beach, enjoying a round of golf or strolling along the boardwalk you´ll be surrounded by natural beauty.
